This is an estate-grown and bottled oil blended from Arbequina (buttery), Picual (piquaint), Hojiblanca (fruity), and Morisca olives (mild but earthy notes), which are unique to Extremadura in western Spain. The olives are pressed within an hour of picking.
The producer is a nobleman whose family estate 'Perales de Miraflores' is located near Merida, which was one of the farthermost provinces of the Roman Empire. The Romans originally sought out ideal locations for the cultivation of vines and olives. Hence, this oil has more than two thousand years of tradition behind it.
