L'Estornell is named after the bird that haunts the Arbequina olive groves in Spain. And because of the tradition in Spain of growing Arbequina trees next to almond trees, you may well notice some almond notes in the palate and frangrance of this oil. True to form with the opulent aberquina oils from Spain, this one has a full-bodied, rounded flavor devoid of the pepperiness that is so common to other oils, particularly Tuscan ones.
